Dr. Gábor Váradi
Bovine Reproductive Specialist Veterinarian
Dr. Váradi graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca in 1990. He worked for several years in Transylvania as a district veterinarian and laboratory manager.
In Hungary, he became an expert in bovine reproduction biology and has been practicing for over 20 years, regularly visiting 8-10 farms across the country, some of which he has been caring for for two decades. His work is characterized by nonviolence, cleanliness, and precision, treating animals with the utmost respect. His interest in Vedic philosophy and Ayurvedic medicine has been a defining aspect of his life since his university years, and he integrates these principles into his veterinary practice.
"I graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca in 1990 and worked as a district veterinarian in Bárdfalva, Transylvania, for five years. During this time, I cared for approximately 200 buffalo, 200 horses, numerous sheep and pigs, and around 500 cattle across various farms. Following this, I spent five years at the county laboratory in Sighetu Marmației, where I eventually served as the laboratory director.
After moving to Hungary, while waiting for my diploma to be approved, I worked as a calver in Baranya County. Later, I was hired at the cattle farm in Pélpuszta, primarily due to my proficiency in English. Over time, I was asked if I could perform ultrasound examinations if the farm acquired an ultrasound machine. This motivated me to observe and assist the ultrasound specialist, allowing me to learn the technique. On one occasion, when the specialist was unavailable, I performed a heifer insemination, which was successful on the first attempt. I began conducting ultrasounds using the large, heavy equipment available at the time, learning through experience, mistakes, and collaboration with colleagues. These efforts paid off, and I committed to bovine reproduction biology, a field in which I have been active since 2001. Over the years, I have become a well-known and respected veterinarian.
I work nationwide, regularly providing services to approximately 8–10 farms, many of which I have cared for over 15–20 years, including the Pélpuszta farm. I have always wanted to work with animals, but my most significant achievements and breakthroughs have been in the field of bovine care.
My core principles include nonviolence, which encompasses compassion toward animals. My work and personal approach are grounded in cleanliness and honesty, values that also reflect in my lifestyle—I abstain from alcohol, coffee, and meat. I approach my work with joy, calmness, and precision, always treating animals with respect.
I have extensive experience with hormonal treatments using the oestrus-inducing phytoestrogen product Estrofarm, wound healing with Charmil, managing diarrhoea symptoms with Diaroak powder, and improving digestion with Ruchamax powder. My interest in Ayurveda and Vedic philosophy began during my university years. I regard these ancient, long-established treatments as effective medical practices that predate modern medicine and remain highly relevant today."
